Our Courses…
From Autumn 2014 we offered a depth course in holistic western spirituality through our Wild Wisdom School and in July 2017 we completed our first three year Wild Wisdom School course.
Some core members continued to gather occasionally and since 2020 to meet monthly with new companions to create the Community of Sophia and Mary, a contemplative wisdom group. This peer group of eight women continues to meet monthly and includes the four ‘wild mothers’ who are central to our emerging new monastic vision and the establishment of our home base at Brooking Church in Dartington, South Devon.
Since Lent 2024 three members of this core, Sam, Cathy and Jan, have been piloting a new ‘wild cat'(echetical) course to explore core questions in living a contemplative, feminist, Christian life in service to the earth. Around 20 people have explored the course so far and in 2026 we currently have a committed cohort of nine members.
Wild Wisdom
An experiential journey into open Christian Spirituality with a holistic method of learning, a fourfold wisdom way that engages head and heart, body and spirit through study & discussion, creative arts & sharing, meditation & embodied spiritual practice.

Each day also engages with material that restores the love of the Divine Feminine and Mother Earth to balance our often more masculine conceptions and ways of experiencing the Divine. Together we travel through her/history and Mystery to develop our own thealogy and theology – our own understanding and embodied spiritual experience of the Source of all being.
